meikuree: (toast the knowing)
[personal profile] meikuree
Hi there, and thanks so much for creating for me! All the pairings here are dear to my heart, and I can't wait to see what you’ll come up with. I’m an omnivorous and easygoing reader, so my only rule is for you to write what you'll enjoy — I genuinely love many things from the scale of dark and weird to joyful and mellow. Details here are entirely optional; you can ignore my prompts or simply dust off an old draft as long as you respect my DNWs. I'm [tumblr.com profile] meikuree on Tumblr and [archiveofourown.org profile] meikuree on AO3, and you can read my past exchange letters here. All requests are for fic.

Due to time constraints I’ve written simpler prompts in some places, but that's only because I had more thoughts for some ships, or unhinged Discord conversations with friends to poach ideas from. I’m fine with major character death and unhappy or ambiguous endings if your gift needs it.

Treats (fic or art) are very welcome (no matter how late after the exchange)!

List of Requests

A League of Their Own (TV 2022)

This show stole my heart: women’s sports, friendships and relationships between women of all stripes, and snarky yet heartwarming bouts of humour!

Maxine "Max" Chapman/Esther Warner

Excited to see where these two will go; I’m down for things about Esther mentoring/coaching Max as she grows into her own on the team, more of that competitive and charged romantic interest they share (something something, nobody knows you more intimately than a rival?), Esther helping Max develop her own pitching persona and more! "Only one bed" scenarios too, of course. Courtship happening under their teammates' noses during matches in coded pitching signals and moves. Bring in all the baseball trivia you want!

Maxine "Max" Chapman/Clance Morgan

Loved their friendship! A 5+1 things look at Max and Clance’s relationship over the years; life drawing/posing sessions that gradually grow more intimate, and intense friendship that becomes ambiguous or toes the line? Domesticity or cooking as love languages too; Max welcoming Clance into her family. Letters Clance writes to Max but may not send while she's away, perhaps? Things unsaid over phone calls? Clance realising she might fancy women a little too? Both of them admiring or helping each other pick out outfits/clothes, especialy after Max's little androgynous awakening and experiementation.

I was struck very much by Guy’s remark that these two have a language all of their own; what about a look at that (perhaps in a story about Max trying to reckon with and talk to Clance, in coded/indirect ways, about her sexuality)?

I like Guy and his dorky warmth; I don’t mind Clance/Guy as a background relationship, or fics that go the open marriage route. (You can write AUs where Clance isn’t with him without explaining anything to me too!) Go with your gut.

Disco Elysium (Video Game)

I adore this game to bits, especially its vast sprawling lore and underlying currents of warmth and humanity, the Eastern European-flavoured setting, all its notes about hopefulness in (and especially because of) people surviving in a shitsack world. I also LOVE these quirky and prickly women and just think they'd be cool together! Anything you want to explore about them, based off canon lore or otherwise, would be wonderful.

Klaasje Amandou/Ruby

Classic ambiguous and/or #rancid vibes and romance... smoking together, Ruby shows Klaasje her truck with her secret Rita Haywood poster collection or something, Klaasje admiring Ruby's physique (she seems to like muscles, huh...) and them broaching intimate depths in conversations, fabricated childhoods and painful pasts, etc. all under a veneer of nonchalance?

Lilienne/Soona Luukanen-Kilde

THEY LIVE IN THE SAME TOWN. I loved both of them and I wonder if they could be linked up somehow through the anodic dance kids' church. Meet-cutes at the club, fish dinners, Soona introduces Lilienne to the wonders of computers and is more patient than usual for some reason? She tries to teach her kids math?

Alternatively, Lilienne stole my heart as a MILF; I want her to be courted and cheesily romanced, or slowly rediscovering the joys of... dating, through Soona. Feel free to write Soona awkwardly wooing her.

Soona Luukanen-Kilde/Novelty Dicemaker

There are hints she and Neha knew each other while Soona was programming for the failed game studio. Maybe they meet and talk about their crafts, plus the not-at-all ominous hole in the world? Reminisce and commiserate about past days? Pranking people who call or enter the Doomed Commercial District together? Neha customises a pair of dice for Soona, Soona tries to craft technologically-inspired flowers out of computer parts and flowers? Philosophical chats about precarity and what it means to try, and try again in their world?

Fandom-specific DNWs/clarifications
  • Focus on the mercenaries (references to canon events are fine).
  • Focus on the Deserter, Evrart Claire, or the nationalist faction.
  • Canon pregnancies (e.g., Lilienne's) are fine to reference and describe.

Dragon Age

Leliana/Morrigan

I haven't finished playing Inquisition, so I apologise for any canon missteps here! Leliana and Morrigan are one of my all-time beloved ships; I love the ways they appear to contrast each other but resemble each other more closely, at the root, than either of them would care to admit. They're both purpose-driven, clued into visions and the trajectory of the world, and skilled shapeshifters in their own ways: for Morrigan, literally, and for Leliana, among people and high society, with her history as a bard.

Feel free to give me relationship studies, conversations about their friends and histories, snark, petty bickering, talks outside the stables or after quests late at night under the stars, or other exploits from Ferelden to Orlais (maybe Morrigan travelled or met up with Leliana again after Origins?). Humour's great too: Leliana singing an ill and unamused Morrigan to sleep (I think this is a funny image!), Leliana comforting Morrigan about Flemeth or her complex parental legacy/heritage, and Morrigan snubbing Leliana’s war table decisions or role in the Inquisition (to Leliana’s inexplicable annoyance) would all be excellent. (On this note, I have no preference for Warden or Inquisitor profiles!)

Yes, also, to situations that allow their reluctant familiarity or history to show through. Perhaps Leliana overworks herself and comes down sick, and Morrigan happens to be the only person at Skyhold who knows the exact esoteric permutation of elfroot tea (… or something) needed to cure her. Or Morrigan puts her to bed and lingers for some reason while ribbing at Leliana. Feel free to write something grittier if you prefer: aftermaths of quests gone wrong, torture, broken bones, Morrigan needing to carry a fallen Leliana.

Leliana/Cassandra Pentaghast

These two hit all my buttons as emotionally repressed colleagues who are stitched together by their unfailing and undying loyalty-slash-devotion to a woman... I'd love to read your take on them! But if you wanted ideas: grief-fuelled sex after Justinia's death, overwork and the consequences or fallout (whether they mutually pick at each other or not), competence kinks, etc. Letters or correspondence to Justinia and between each other would be great, as would moments of vulnerability, wound care (e.g., after Cassandra sparring), or a tropey colleagues-to-lovers arc.

Fandom-specific DNWs/clarifications:
References to Morrigan's pregnancy are fine, though I'd prefer you avoid the specific details of the ritual if possible.

아가씨 | The Handmaiden (2016)

Hideko/Sook-hee

Anything post-canon, or a look at mid-movie scenes from the perspective of the other person would be gold -- I'm down for kink explorations, incongruous domesticity, Hideko learning to navigate the boundaries and holdovers of her past life. More straightforwardly, I'm up for explorations of the aftermath of abuse, all the ways Hideko may be off-kilter without realising it due to her upbringing, and (totally optional) your take on how she may respond to, accept, or just leave those ambivalences be, against Sook-hee's influence or not.

More self-indulgently... I'm a casual but unabashed fan of things about Chinese literature, and translations between those and Japanese/Korean literature more broadly -- if you want to work in historical or literary details, PLEASE go ahead. If you want to bring in commentary about the... backdrop of Japanese colonialism in the film, I'm cool with that, though I'd prefer you avoid graphic descriptions of war crimes if possible.

Broader explorations of how Hideko recontextualises things from her house and old life would be lovely too -- I wonder about Hideko never knowing her mother, losing her aunt young, and how she might wonder about and yearn secretly for  affection from women more generally, and how Sook-hee is her introduction to that. Put bluntly: I'm always a sucker for women with mommy issues. Go wild with that.

呪術廻戦 | Jujutsu Kaisen (Manga)

Zenin Mai/Zenin Maki

Yin/yang motifs, the poetic cinema of dying the same way you were born (by your sister's side, in the water), the inherent homoeroticism of your sister being your first love... these two hurt my heart in the best way. Give me relationship studies, bitter breakups, snapshots of their lives in the Zenin house... anything! Anything about their love and complicated devotion to each other.
  • Found documents, a catalogue of personal artefacts in Mai and Maki's rooms; Maki looking through Mai's belongings after 149, perhaps. Alternative formats that hint at their lives in the Zenin house!
  • Epistolary: unsent letters, a history of Mai's emotions in her first term or year in Kyoto. When does Mai figure out that she might have to sacrifice herself one day? Why does she hesitate with telling Maki?
  • Maki meeting Mai in her dreams, processing her grief; Mai-sword conversations (?) and shenanigans.
  • Kinky ideas: gunplay or gunfucking, dream sex, bathtub sex (amniotic fluid imagery and metaphors, perhaps?), misuse of cursed techniques.
  • Revolutionary Girl Utena AUs, with Mai as a Black Rose duellist.

Zenin Maki/Zenin Mai and Maki’s Mother
Zenin Mai/Zenin Mai and Maki’s Mother
Zenin Mai/Zenin Maki/Zenin Mai and Maki’s Mother

Going to be upfront: my prompts for these pairings are deranged and likely fall under three different umbrellas of dirtybadwrong, but if you already have something else in mind, please go ahead; I'd love to see it! Maki's matricide has simply given me a craving for deep dives into the twins' dynamics with their mother. I'm intrigued by Maki's unresolved issues and lack of closure for her relationship with her mother, and simply imagine that Mai probably went through a similarly tumultuous relationship with her.

I'm down for darker themes, including but not limited to abuses/imbalances of power from their mother, springing out of the Zenin clan's repressive and claustrophobic environment.

If you're just here for prompts, you can stop after the bullet points! But you can also read on for my rambling if you want more details on what I think about their dynamic.
  • Mother-daughter dubcon, in either direction; canon-divergent AUs where Mai stays although Maki leaves, and her mother is driven to seek comfort in her due to grief or the general stress of, uh, being a woman in the Zenin clan.
  • Period sex (for Mai), finger sucking, misuses of ceremonies and grand occasions for sex, with or without dubcon.
  • The twins' mother forming a bond with Mai or using her as a pawn to piss off their father.
  • "Educational" sex, Mai involuntarily losing her virginity to their mother under the guise of her mother trying to teach her about what to expect... Mai feeling conflicted afterwards, especially if she'd wanted to do it with Maki instead.
  • AUs where Mai or Maki return home from the technical schools, and having to reckon with the threat (indirect or not) of their mother.
  • AU where Maki leaves her mother alive, and they deal afterwards (or not) with their grief and complicated feelings over Mai's death.
Given what we know of the Zenin clan, I think it wouldn’t be a stretch to  imagine that the twins’ mother was isolated in a ‘lonely at the top’ way, with a… husband like Zenin Ougi… and imo she could’ve projected her unmet needs onto her daughters, particularly Mai (who is more similar to her in mannerisms, style, and dress, though not necessarily in deference; Mai’s a snarker).

At the same time there’s the compelling thread of how, despite resenting the twins, she’s also bound inescapably to them by blood; there are hints she wields political influence, at least in the shadowy form, with how she advised Naoya in ch. 138, but she’s held back by them.

There’s a possible element of her envying the twins’ freedom from the clan’s social mores, while refusing to acknowledge that to herself. If you subscribe to the idea that she’s in a loveless marriage: she could be jealous of the twins’ affection for each other! And lash out by trying to undermine their love.

Some notes for what I'm obsessed with in these pairings: simmering generational pain and rage expressed and filtered in unhealthy/dysfunctional ways, the horror of motherhood being folded into their relationships, the inability for the twins’ mother to relate to her daughters and show them love and care at all, the reversal of parent-child dynamics, etc. Mai or Maki tolerating a certain amount of boundary-breaking behaviour or dubcon/noncon from her, because it's the only time she's vulnerable or loving.

Fandom-specific DNWs/clarifications:
  • Humiliation kinks.
  • Naoya being featured prominently.
  • Canon pregnancies (e.g., the twins' mother's) are fine to reference and describe.
  • I waive my rape/noncon DNW for this fandom; go wild! The only thing I DNW is M/F noncon.

The Left Hand of Darkness - Ursula K. Le Guin

Female Genly Ai/Therem Harth rem ir Estraven

The entire point of Genly as a narrator is to allow the audience, by proxy, to unpack and recognise the limits of gender, but I've always wondered what would've happened instead if we had a narrator who began from a different starting point (and level of sympathy for gender-wonkiness or fluidity). How would the conversation with Therem on the ice, about what differentiates men and women, have turned out? How would Genly's observations about Gethenians while at prison have been different? It's possible Genly could still have internalised misogyny; I'm open to you including that, if you like.

I have no preference for Gethenian pronouns (whether alternating or not), though I'm fond of the universal 'she' that Le Guin uses in some of her short stories in this universe.

The Locked Tomb Series - Tamsyn Muir

Harrowhark Nonagesimus/The Body | Alecto | The Girl in the Tomb

Happy to have Alecto interpreted as her awakened self at the end of Nona the Ninth or just the Body. With the Body, I love the wistful devotion Harrow shows towards The Body and her mysterious but somehow permissive grace; the way she shows up in some of Harrow's darkest and loneliest moments as a beacon of gentleness, the intimate reverence with which Harrow refers to her as 'beloved'. Feel free to explore meetings between the Body and Harrow within echoing hallways and in-between moments on the Mithraeum. I'd welcome explorations of prayer and devotional practices on the Ninth through this, and how Harrow tries to use them in her interactions with the Body despite the heretical nature of it all.

Some ideas: sexual fantasies or outright weird sex (with the Body steering Harrow, perhaps?). More of Harrow confessing or unloading her guilt over the two hundred deaths, perhaps, onto the Body? And body worship, prayer kinks, etc. But I'd also love tender premises, like: the Body carrying Harrow to bed after she's passed out, Harrow praying to the Body in moments of distress and her appearing, or a history of the guises in which the Body has come to comfort Harrow since childhood (over her parents, Gideon, etc).

With Alecto the First as her angry rageful earth-personified self, I'm besotted by that... devoted but violent dynamic her and Harrow had going on in Nona's epilogue, and especially the reversal of Harrow's usual reverence of her, with Alecto pledging loyalty to Harrow instead. More 'meat loves meat' bizarre poetry-esque lines, dwellings on what it means to have an OLD AND VENGEFUL AND TEN-THOUSAND YEAR OLD spirit becoming your follower, the strangeness that follows... give it all to me. I had the thought that a What We Do in the Shadows-style dynamic or mockumentary format could be cool for spotlighting Alecto's weirdness, but I'm open to so many things for this.

Harrowhark Nonagesimus/Ianthe Tridentarius

Harrow and Ianthe share such a delicious tension, and I'd be overjoyed to see anything showcasing their complicated dynamic; they have their capacities for prickly -- but genuine! -- kindness with each other, and I'd welcome moments exploring those slippery threads of care and distance, neither tender nor cruel; the revelation that they're perhaps sometimes just two [Mercymorn voice] children fumbling in the dark of a hostile situation together. Or go full darkness (death or Ianthe dubconning Harrow), if you like. <3

•  An AU where Harrow doesn't turn away from Ianthe after the bathtub attack: "If Ianthe Tridentarius knelt beside you then, [...] you would press your diminished bloody terror into her. You would crawl like a worm to whatever clinging scrap of solace she would give you.”

• Bed-sharing moments on the Mithraeum, in response to Harrow’s fear over Ortus’s attacks, or other forms of trauma/hurt.

• Either of them trying to cook for each other, with disastrous results.

• Harrow's notes state that Ianthe cries herself to sleep every night. I'd love to read about Harrow discovering this, in a hurt with dubious comfort or hurt no comfort scenario.

• Necromancy used for romantic, sexual, or comforting purposes, such as: breathplay via squeezing on the veins or aorta, slowing each other's heartbeats, etc.

• An AU where Ianthe still experiences issues adapting to her bone arm (pain, soreness, loss of control) after the subtextual bone arm sex scene bone arm transplant and Harrow has to step in to attend to her.

• A far-future AU where both are matured lyctors, Harrow never remembers Gideon, and they've settled more into their roles, where they might have unique hurt/comfort rituals after battles or difficult planet missions. (Sorry, for the record, I love Gideon! Feel free to slip in hints that she's still hanging around, somehow.)

• Harrow and Ianthe comforting each other through homesickness (planet-sickness?): giving each other House artefacts/mementos, or recounting childhood memories and stories to each other. Or: kinking on House titles during comfort sex.

Coronabeth Tridentarius/Ianthe Tridentarius

Codependency, that messed up moment your sister didn't choose you to cannibalise, spinning out the aftermath of "Babs? Who cares about Babs?" and so on. I've read As Yet Unsent so feel free to work in the reveal of Coronabeth's hidden neediness, or all the ways she's the worse twin. I'm down for anything about their twisted dynamic. Some ideas: Ianthe being subtly jealous of Coronabeth's affection for other cavaliers (Gideon, Judith, et al.), an AU where Coronabeth does get to be Ianthe's cavalier, an AU where Coronabeth doesn't betray BoE and sticks to her guns and they remain bitter enemies in an inter-galactic conflict...

Kinky ideas, if you swing that way: power plays in bed, praise kinks, Coronabeth trying to shower Ianthe with all the attention she isn't getting, knifeplay as a demonstration of Coronabeth's worthiness of cavalierhood. Whiffs of necrophilia and body horror (in the form of intentional mutilation, Ianthe mocking Corona with all the ropes of what she can do as a Lyctor) while Ianthe is in Babs's body. I'm fine if you want to go AU and write/draw a missing scene where Ianthe is in her own body instead of Babs's.

• Coronabeth letting Ianthe practise small doses of cannibalism or animaphalia on her.

• Ianthe and Coronabeth performing Third House marriage/scarification vows and rituals secretly with themselves.

• Ianthe gets arranged to marry another necromancer (Harrow, perhaps). Coronabeth gets jealous.

• A 5+1 times style study of (twisted) birthdays they've celebrated over the years. Creepy or messed up variants of their "fuck, kill, reanimate" games. Or various times Coronabeth's been mistaken for Ianthe's partner/girlfriend, and vice versa.

• A look at Third House rituals they've done, from the bizarre to ostentatious to downright weird; ritual sex even, where they've been asked to consummate their bond or mark the anniversary of their House's founding (or something...) in front of their peers, parents, anything.

• Alternatively, the Ninth House is obsessed with preservation and entombment, the veiling away of the past; what if the Third House is obsessed with gaudy opulence and the appearance of liveliness even in death? I'm thinking Ianthe having to use flesh magic to build/add on to corpses and a young Coronabeth trying to help her.

• Unexpectedly tender first-time sex with each other.

Camilla Hect/Ianthe Tridentarius

Did not expect to come out of Nona the Ninth with shipping fodder for these two, but Tazmuir's a blessing as always. I love the fact that they have history (Canaan House, and Ianthe's references to Camilla trying to save her arm). I love how Ianthe remorselessly and cheerfully went for Camilla's jugular, by insulting Palamedes. I love that Ianthe threatened to dismember Camilla, which -- because it's Ianthe -- could have doubled up as weird, veiled flirting, for all we care. Remember the arm scene? Remember how Ianthe probably thinks dismemberment is the equivalent of Lyctor sex? I would be overjoyed with anything for these two.

Cytherea the First/Ianthe Tridentarius

I’ve tried the sister thing already,” said Ianthe, circling around to one side, “and I wasn’t any good at it.”
“But I have so much to teach you,” said Cytherea.

I think that explains it all.

But also! Loved their spark of antagonism in the fight at the end of Gideon the Ninth, loved the casual grace with which Cytherea severs Ianthe's arm. Also, Ianthe skewering Cytherea...

Feel free to transplant them into an AU where Cytherea survived and Augustine, Mercy, or G1deon died at Canaan House instead. I'd love a twisted mentor/protege relationship with them, where Cytherea's the only one who can cow Ianthe's inflated ego into whimpering submission. Give me sexy avulsion, choking, painplay (Cytherea siphoning Ianthe's soul for herself, Ianthe letting her do it for the social points), all the works.

Alternatively: Mithraeum politics and power plays, with Cytherea continuing to plot God's demise behind his back? Particularly with the constant, chronic pain she's been subjected to over the years. Ianthe perhaps coddling up to God and then going behind his back to talk with Cytherea about her plans while being fucked (or fucked over) by Cytherea, in every sense of that word? Anything goes in my books for this; you could give me something simple like the two of them being cloyingly and performatively sweet one moment then debauched and cruel the next, and I'd gobble it up. <3

Camilla Hect/Kiki

We know literally nothing about Kiki/Kiana, but I'm intrigued by Palamedes's mention that Camilla's attachment to her wasn't "[his] secret to tell", the fact that they're 'quite' fond of each other, the way Camilla wanted Kiki to be there for the Grand Lyctor Fusion -- I imagine Kiki as someone Camilla admired, who might've mentored Camilla. Go wild and tell me about Camilla hanging out with her on the Sixth or in libraries, conversations over the years about Lyctorhood and its discontents, Camilla’s protective sentiments over Kiki, Camilla leaning on her shoulder after training or sparring. If Kiki was a necromancer adept (I might be forgetting what was actually said in Nona... feel free to go AU), that adds an interesting dimension to Camilla and her relationship with Pal too. I just think Camilla having a sister is interesting, and I'd love your take on how Camilla relates to her.

Totally open to smut for this. Are there incest taboos on the Sixth, compounded by society-wide cav-necro taboos perhaps, and how do they negotiate it, if or when they care? Kiki feeling ambivalent about Camilla's search for perfect Lyctorhood fusion, maybe... them writing letters to each other where Kiki lends her counsel, unspoken codependency neither realises is codependency, them being in an ambiguous sisterly but also sexual no-strings-attached relationship, with surprise undercurrents of feelings... give me anything.

Pyrrha Dve/Aiglamene

Old butchy women with shaved heads and dry humours who like to swing swords, on occasion? Talks about Gideon Nav or Harrow? Comparing between their different seats, with Pyrrha "close" to the Emperor and Aiglamene chucked instead in an old crumbling House? These two could find unexpected commonality with each other!

Pyrrha Dve/Wake | Awake Remembrance of These Valiant Dead

I love these messy and complex and prickly MILFs so much. Open to anything, set before Nona or after!

Pyrrha Dve/Camilla Hect

I loved the surprise of Pyrrha's surprise kiss with Camilla before her big Lyctor Fusion, yes. Again, anything would be wonderful. Weird ambiguous housemates-with-a-side-of-fucking situations? Yes. More wound care with Camilla being a stubbornly devoted, codependent idiot? Yes. Jokes about marrying Pyrrha? You bet. (Bring on the genderfuckery vis a vis Pyrrha being in G1deon's body too.)

Mononoke-hime | Princess Mononoke

Eboshi/San

My favourite Ghibli film! I feel deeply for its explorations of monstrosity, darkness, rebirth, death, and the majesty of the forest, and I like how Eboshi and San are flawed but nuanced; neither's a straightforward hero or villain. My prompt for Eboshi/San is simple: I'd love explorations of their clashing worldviews and tensions, or crossroads between them (canon or post-canon, e.g., unexpected mercy). But if you want to go in a mellower or different direction, that's great too.

I'm open to mild to moderate body horror in this canon if you want to go for a darker tone; there's lots of undertapped potential there, with the aspect of curses warping animal gods and bodies. Maybe a new sickness or curse ravages the land, and Eboshi and San have to begrudgingly team up to figure out what's happening, with an ambiguous ending?

Other optional prompts:
  • Ambiguous corruptions, or -- in line with the film's ending -- changes and reluctant interminglings that are irreversible; Eboshi dubconning San in the forest (i.e., San's assumed place of protection and power) and San grappling with complicated feelings about that and not being sure what it means for her own ideals, whether she's compromised them, etc.
  • Perhaps, as San grows up, her childishness gets sanded off, but not the ferocity of her commitments; does she get fiercer and less amenable to domestication as she ages? I'd love to see her holding her own against Eboshi as she grows into her own as a leader, set against a backdrop of the political conflicts that may result.
  • This is a darker idea, but I was thinking about cannibalism: specifically, what it means that San sees herself as a part of the forest, and whether she'd regard Eboshi hunting and eating one of the forest-folk as an act tantamount to this (i.e., Eboshi just ate one of her kin). What'd the fallout be like?
  • Ambiguous or conflictual interactions in general, yes please. Hatesex or enemies with benefits situations where San takes furtive trips to Tataraba? Great.
  • Duels between them, 5+1 style or not. It doesn't have to be physical; it could be emotional, political, verbal, etc.
Fandom-specific DNWs/clarifications:
  • Please age San up for romantic/sexual interactions to be at least 18.
  • Per my parasites/bug swarms DNW, describing curses in writing is fine, although I’d be grateful if you avoid details about them moving/squirming etc. like worms/maggots.

Shingeki no Kyojin | Attack on Titan

Hitch Dreyse/Annie Leonhart

Fellow assholes with jaded but secret hearts of idealism, Hitch's girlish whimsies, the homoeroticism of self-aware hypocrisy or something... that roommate you never gelled with but find yourself missing once she's encased in crystal six feet below. Unethical flouting of MP rules. So many things to explore! I find the unexpected trust and confidence they place in each other during the Rumbling arc to be incredibly compelling, and I'd welcome a closer look at canon moments they shared.
  • Forced proximity during their Trainee or Military Police days: winter training, or being sent on errands and investigations to town.
  • Hitch's visits to Annie in the crystal: how often did she come, and why? Would love more on those tirades she apparently shared with Annie! Some of the ways Hitch helped Annie survive that lonely and disconnected time in the basement; Annie perhaps overhearing gossip she has no business to from other soldiers/visitors and inferring things about Hitch.
  • In-universe documents: paperwork filed by Hitch to convince her superiors that Annie isn't a threat, down in the basement, or to be assigned leave to watch over her; reports on how Annie is doing. Hitch's journal entries!
  • Literal sleeping together or spent-the-night-together missing scenes during the Rumbling.
  • Post-canon: might the situation have calmed down enough for them to stoke the beginnings of a relationship? I'm open to snark and banter, or clashes between Annie's pragmatic view of the world state and Hitch's... MP-ness.

Pieck Finger/Annie Leonhart

The rarepair of my heart -- I'd die for anything of these two. Feel free to kick canon timelines to the curb and set up AUs where Annie never went to Paradis or returned instead of taking a crystal sabbatical.

They're both titan shifters; what about Pieck helping Annie with any side effects of being a shifter? Pieck struggles with numbness, but I imagine Annie could have problems with neck soreness, constant hand injuries, or exhaustion from overexerting her limits/not being as skilled at endurance as Pieck is.

A look at their lives as Warriors before Annie left for Paradis would be great too. Tell me about how they met, or trained, and whether Annie might've respected Pieck in her own way. They're both clear-eyed about their predicaments as Warriors, but respond differently; how might Pieck's resigned optimism bounce off Annie's cynicism and latent idealism?

An AU where Annie returns to Marley from Paradis: I'd be interested in the overhanging issue of her 13-year term. Do shifters experience any side effects as they near the end of their 13-year timeline? Does Annie allow Pieck to help her with hers, or try to hide them? I don't mind major character death, if you want to include it!

Other ideas:
  • What if Pieck was the one who helped Annie learn crystallisation, thanks to her skill in endurance?
  • Annie's estranged relationship with her father, Pieck talking to her about her own relationship with her father.
  • Nightmares, insomnia, unspoken midnight comfort.
  • Post-canon, Pieck helping Annie with post-crystal recovery, numbness, and other frustrations.
  • Post-canon catch-ups, painful secrets revealed through late night talks, drinking sessions.
  • Kinky ideas: sensation play, painplay (they're both regenerating supersoldiers!), finger sucking, rough post-training or sparring sex.

Pieck Finger/Yelena

Thick subtext (well, not really, but I'm putting on my wishful goggles), sniping banter and weirdly flirtatious mocking... the messy/chaotic dynamics and minefield of unsaid things between these two are ripe for some revealing excavation. Yelena becomes an egregious extremist in later chapters, and I'm totally open to Yeagerist-critical portrayals of her, or content that just avoids those later arcs. My self-indulgent take is that they were confidantes before the three-year time skip, bonding over anti-Marley sentiments and harbouring a strange, unnameable attraction to each other.
  • Pieck coming to Yelena after getting injured: maybe a battle gone wrong, the aftermath of an anti-titan strike; maybe she intentionally suppresses her regeneration to prove a point to Yelena about what Warriors endure? Is Pieck actually severely injured, or is it a pretext to be close to Yelena?
  • Casual non-sexual intimacy, one of them falling asleep on the other's shoulder after a long day, a trying event (a difficult battle; trouble over Porco inheriting his titan; absence of news on Annie’s fate), or a near-death experience. I'd be interested in Yelena's response: does she grudgingly relent?
  • Pieck's veneer of calmness cracking in response to the death of someone in the Panzer squad, reminiscence over Paradis, medical experimentation/abuse, her role in Marley's military missions, and Yelena's response.
  • Spy AU where they're undercover and Pieck takes a bullet or other injury for Yelena, leading to some mad rush for Yelena to treat her before she bleeds out. Feel free to work in analogues to shifting abilities for this.
  • The Locked Tomb AU, with Pieck as the cav to Yelena’s necro, and Pieck’s obligations of loyalty to Yelena being used to hurt her, etc.
  • Kinky ideas: breathplay, Yelena taking advantage of Pieck's neck sensitivity, under-negotiated kink, dubious consent, sex as a distraction from problems, 'bad guys made them do it' noncon situations while in enemy territory.

Wednesday (TV 2022)

Morticia Addams/Larissa Weems

Adore their hints of history. Pre-canon looks at their roommate days or post-canon fix-its with reconciliations? Larissa as a secret lacrosse/[insert normie sport] jock in her Nevermore days? Canon-divergent AUs where they dated at Nevermore? Larissa somehow ends up officiating a marriage or renewing Morticia's and Gomez's vows and then gets pulled into marrying Morticia too? Romantic funeral sex? Morticia managing to ruffle Larissa under her put-together veneer? Go wild!

I like Gomez; I'm fine with open marriage scenarios. I haven't thought about Morticia/Larissa/Gomez but I feel like I could be convinced.

Fandom-specific DNWs/clarifications:
Prominent focus on child-rearing or childcare; Morticia's children are fine to feature and write interactions about, I'd just prefer not to receive fic focusing solely on Morticia as a parent.
